French Street Artist Invader's London Invasion
Hookedblog spotted some fresh-looking Shoreditch street art vinyl stickers by French street artist Invader yesterday evening and suspected that the Paris-based street artist might be back in London installing new works.
French artist Invader's London Street Art
The street artist Invader is known for his street art mosaics which he has modeled on the pixelated art of early 80's 8-bit video arcade games such as Space Invaders. With each city visit or invasion as the artist refers to them, he installed a series of ceramic tile mosaic works on city walls.Having spotted some Invader street art stickers stuck on lampposts in East London, we wondered if a new Invader invasion was in progress.
Our suspicions were confirmed earlier this morning when we spotted not one but two new street art mosaic pieces from Invader. The first new London street artwork was a largish rectangular-shaped Pac-Man Ghost character with a David Bowie 'Ziggy' look to the piece.

Star Wars-inspired Street Art
The second London Invader artwork, an epic super-sized Shoreditch street art mosaic piece featuring everyone's favorite Star Wars characters Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader battling it out on the side of the iconic American Carwash building on Commercial Street, London. This huge piece sees the artist scale his work up and he has used large bathroom titles to create this pixeled Star Wars artwork.
We will be keeping our eyes peeled for additional pieces, so be sure to check back with us soon.
