Italian Street Artist RUN's Bye Bye Dolphin Video
In the summer of 2018, Italian street artist and muralist Giacomo Bufarini aka RUN was on a return visit to London and while he was in town he found some time during his trip to paint a new mural in East London.
Returning to Hackney, the Lower Clapton wall featuring the new mural is a location Bufarini has painted on many occasions with the wall featuring his works as far back as 2012 when he first painted at this spot.
The latest 2018 summer mural was the fifth mural the artist has painted on the wall, repairing and repainting works as they were tagged over or looking in need of a refresh. Bufarini spoke about the Hackney location saying,
“I have painted this wall 5 times in the last 6 years. It’s my spot or is everyone’s place to watch and to make up a story with. Public art is for everyone, the context of art shall reflect the world we live in and make people think. this is made by one individual person, no advert, no product.”
