Ground breaking Italian street art by artists Blu and David Ellis
Some of you may recall last year's fantastic short stop motion animation Muto, created by Italian Street Artist Blu. The much-loved animation was heavily blogged and has had over 5 million views on Youtube alone since the video was published by the Italian artist.

Hooked has just returned from a short break in the South of Italy where Blu has been working on a new project in collaboration with American artist David Ellis. The two artists have collaborated on a new stop motion animation and the duo have released the new work online earlier this week. As with the previous stop motion work from artist Blu, this incredible new animation work with Ellis titled Combo was entirely hand-painted as a part of this year's street art festival the Fame Festival in the Southern region of Italy Puglia.
Some of the collaborative works of artists Blu and David Ellis are still visible in the abandoned monastery where they hand-painted each of the frames of the stop motion animation directly on the building's walls.
The collaborative animation was created over the period of one week in an abandoned monastery located just outside the southern Italian town of Grottaglie where the festival was taking place. As each new frame of the animation was painted and recorded the next would be painted over the first and so on until enough frames were captured to create the full animation.
Take a look at the animation below which has been designed to loop.
