Coney Island Murals
Having been to NY on a number of occasions we never seemed to manage to make it to Coney Island. With the season haven officially opening a few weeks ago we were determined to visit on this trip and have seen some awesome pictures posted by NY photographer Luna Park we made sure it happened.
Coney Island Murals, NY
—
Despite our Sweet Toof 'Dark Horse' after-party hangover we rallied the team and jumped on the F Train all the way to the coast.
With the sun high in the sky, we got to experience all the wonderful sights and sounds of Coney Island. We also got to catch the freshly painted mural work located in a prime spot opposite the infamous Nathan's! The large blue hoarding on Stillwell Ave features works from OverUnder & Veng and Ephameron whose work was along Surf Ave.
The project was organized by Keith Schweitzer for No Longer Empty (NLE) back in April 2011 and they have recently posted the video below featuring the above-mentioned artists painting the featured murals.
