New York Street Artist Swoon Installs New Work in London
Following the successful launch of her Murmuration installation at Black Rat Projects, Brooklyn -based street artist Swoon aka Caledonia Curry took to the streets of East London with a number of large-scale street art paste-ups based on a number of images which featured in her first London solo show at the gallery.

Hookedblog managed to catch up with artist Caledonia Curry better known as Swoon for a quick chat and a preview at the start of December just ahead of the public opening of the artist's Mumuration installation which saw Swoon spend a full three weeks transforming the arched gallery space with large scale installations and her beautiful and elaborate paper cut artworks.
Having spotted one of Swoon's street pieces on Thursday evening wheat-pasted to a wall along Sclater Street, we took to the streets of Shoreditch over the weekend with our camera and managed to photograph to locate and photograph a total of nine new London street art pieces from the American artist.
We are hopeful that some of these new street art artworks will last a little longer than this short lived piece which was only up on a wall for two days before getting removed!

The Murmuration installation ran at the gallery until January 14 2012.
