Stick it up: Shoreditch Street Art Stickers Edition 7
It’s been far too long since we last shared some photographs on the blog, we have had a hectic few months with trips to Amsterdam, Milan, Dublin, and Galway and have been short on time.
We have also realized we somehow never managed to share any London street art sticker-related posts this year so as we head into 2019 let’s finish the year with a collection of street stickers we photographed earlier today on the last day of the year.
Shoreditch Street Art Stickers
—
We started the Stick it up: Shoreditch Street Art Stickers series of posts as a place to share a collection of London street art sticker images from the streets be they hand-drawn one-off stickers to the slick vinyl stickers that more and more artists seem to carry around with them on the global travels.
Each year we seem to plan on sharing more than one sticker photo collection a year but it hasn’t happened yet, maybe 2019 will be the year we make the effort to make it more of a regular thing on the blog.
We know there are plenty of you who love your street art stickers just as much we do so without going on much more, check out the selection below that caught our eye on a stroll around Shoreditch.
Street Artist City Kitty
New York based street artist City Kitty's work has become a regular fixture on the streets of London, alongside the artists larger pasted-up posters we continue to discover these hand-drawn postal stickers from the artist nearly always featuring his signature cat characters.
US Street Artist RXSkulls
Another artist whose work continues to pop up on the streets is that of street artist RXSkulls. The artist prints all his own vinyl stickers often starting the process with a piece of lino onto which he creates his images first.
Carving the image into the lino once complete he makes a print from the lino, this is then scanned and vectorizing on a computer allowing him to scale the image up or down to whatever size he needs be it for a large scale paste-up or in this case smaller vinyl stickers as in the two images featuring his work.
We have spotted a bunch of these black and white character stickers around Shoreditch but we are not too sure on the artist other than the tag name we can make out as MRS. If anyone has a link to the artists' work or their Instagram handle feel free to share with us in the comments section at the end of the post.
Benjamin Rider aka Zombiesqueegee
Another artist producing their own stickers and one who has appeared on the blog on a number of occasions in the last year is London based artist and illustrator Benjamin Rider aka Zombiesqueegee.
This fluoro-obsessed artist continues sharing his multi-layered hand screen printed visuals on the city streets from his larger-scale wheat-pasted posters to the smaller scale images pictured in the photos above and below.
